Queensland-based National Warranty Services (NWS) has launched a patent pending Instant Delivery System (IDS) allowing resellers to access online delivery of warranties at the point-of-sale.
General manager, Don Card, said it consolidated four different actions - the purchase, selling, delivery and activation, in the one real-time online process.
"It streamlines it for resellers so they don't have to pre-purchase warranties. They also get sales reports in real-time and can track how many warranties they have sold, who has sold them, how much it costs and user details," he said. "Resellers don't like paying for stock that they might not use or sell. This way they get to order the warranty at the retail point-of-sale and it's instantly delivered."
Card said IDS would be more suitable for smaller resellers that move small amounts of systems because they would not need to pay upfront for the warranty and can set their own retail price.
Card said larger resellers that utilised the sticker warranty system could benefit by accessing ad hoc warrant requirements instantly.
"Resellers are able to provide customers with a far better service solution. We also offer an Australia-wide warranty where if the reseller moves or something happens, customers still have their onsite warranty," he said. "It's a win/win for both the customer and reseller."
Card said he was also looking to launch a retail version. Resellers could place it on their website and direct customers to purchasing a warranty online.
