IP telephony integrator, GlobalConnect, has won a deal worth over $1 million with 24/7 Customer, to build a 500-seat contact centre. GlobalConnect managing director, Pushkar Taneja, said it was a good opportunity to work with a multinational organisation.
"We were able to meet their technical requirements as well as the time frames they had laid down to ensure we can get the contact centre up and running," he said. "There were other competitors but I believe the winning factor for us was that we were able to capture what the customer was looking for. It was more about understanding their requirements and providing a solution."
GlobalConnect will supply the client with Avaya ACD hardware and an interactions analytics and management solution from Nice Systems.
The integration of the contact centre is expected to be completed in February.
GlobalConnect is also looking to bring on more staff. Taneja said one of the areas he was looking to expand was its applications environment.
"What we look for is talent and people that are multi-skilled," he said.
