Reseller loyalty rewarded

Melbourne-based distributor, Infotronics, has unveiled a new rewards program in an effort to encourage resellers to use its internal services capabilities.
Dubbed the Technical Services Loyalty program, the initiative will see partners awarded one services point for every $1000 of equipment purchased from Infotronics. Channel manager, Anne Waterhouse, said the program was designed to encourage resellers to use Infotronics' internal services as part of their overall package to customers.
"We tend to sell more complex applications that require a certain level of pre and post sales support," she said. "We have come up with this program so that integrators can access our engineers and reap the benefits for securing a sale."
One point will be equal to $50 worth of services support. Putting this into context, Waterhouse said those who secured a sale encompassing products in the AppSense line-up could expect to receive enough points to obtain a services consultant for free for at least one hour.
Services assistance will be available across Infotronic's more specialised product lines, such as those from PlateSpin and Vizioncore, as well as more generic skills, like Microsoft, VMware and Citrix.
Waterhouse said the program could also help to persuade resellers to take on some of its forthcoming application products when they are announced later in the year.
