Gizmo provides home Wi-Fi services for AAPT

Sydney-based technical support business, Gizmo, has partnered with AAPT to offer a new home network support bundle to the telco's Wi-Fi customers. The support bundle costs $199. It includes the new AAPT Wi-Fi modem, sending a Gizmo technician to the home to set it up and ensure it is secure and protected. CEO, Brett Chenoweth, said partnering with a telco was part of its strategy to broaden distribution of its services.

"AAPT was keen to try something new by providing a services leg to their product as well as promote our offering to their customers," he said. "It is our most popular service to date."

Chenoweth hoped to expand its relationship with AAPT to encompass other services and bundles.

The partnership comes on the back of Gizmo's expansion of its on-site operations in Brisbane and Canberra. Gizmo also services Sydney and Melbourne.

"The goal was always to build a national network and expand quickly," Chenoweth said. "The thing with this industry is that there is no well branded national player and we are keen to get out there and get into it."
