Grabba aims at local channel

Julia Talevski  08 September, 2006 12:01:25

Brisbane-based hardware vendor, Grabba International, is looking for systems integrators, software developers and VARs to improve its local market presence.

It develops a range of products that interact with chip and smart card technology, which can be used with a range of PDA and smart phone devices. The range consists of barcode scanners, smart card readers, and magnetic stripe, RFID and combination readers.

CEO, Frank Downes, wants to drastically increase its local base of 30 partners and would also look to more than double its 200 overseas partners.

Partners can join the vendor's software development program, which entitles them to free support engineer access and product discounts.

"This is an area of technology that is growing very quickly," Downes said. "We try to make it easy for our developers to utilise our devices and integrate them into their software."

In other news, the company has appointed three overseas business development managers - Paul Bellamy in Asia-Pacific, Brendan Strijdom in UK and Ireland, and Lawrence Pane in North America. Downes said 75 per cent of sales were now in the US.
