Techhead Interactive will sign its 100th reseller this month as the Telstra-approved dealer continues its push to make services from the country's largest telco available to IT resellers.
Techhead Interactive CEO, Tim Fussell, claimed the opportunities for traditional IT resellers were huge.
"99.9 per cent of mobile phone dealers have no idea about the IT side of something like installing a Blackberry enterprise server into a business for starters," he said.
As an example, he suggested a HP ProLiant ML110 G4 server, Blackberry 8100 Pearl device and associated software sold for $4999 could return a margin to the reseller of just over $1000.
Next G voice plans were also returning high margins, depending on what kind of contract resellers were signing customers to. Each sign up could return between $57.20 and $291, depending on the connection type.
Fussell said an even spread of resellers were signing on to its partner program, ranging from Cape Naturaliste Computers in Western Australia and Blue Orb Media in Queensland to Victoria's Interconnekt and Login Systems.
Future additions to the Techhead Interactive reseller base would be on an individual basis and also via deals struck with laptop vendors and their distributors.
"There is potential to have thousands of resellers across Australia with access to these Telstra services," he said.
