Antlabs appoints inTechnology for hotspots

Singapore-based Advanced Network Technology Laboratories (ANTlabs) has appointed Australian distributor, inTechnology, to sell its zero-configuration wireless hotspot offering to the country’s hotels.

inTechnology sales and marketing director, Mark Winter, said his company was looking to sign up around 20 resellers across Australia. The company will launch its reseller program at Information Security World in Sydney on August 21.

inTechnology is targeting its wireless offering at the hospitality sector, such as hotels and cafes wanting to offer hotspot solutions to guests and customers.

It has an existing relationship with US software wireless company, Funk Software, to provide wireless networking products equipped with remote access authentication software.

Winter said the new product from ANTlabs would allow the distributor to offer a complete wireless system.

The ANTLabs wireless hardware, including gateways, costs $44,000-$140,000, depending on the size of the implementation.

Winter said resellers could make further margins on the hotspot product by offering additional services, such as designing a wireless area network.

He said his business would do the marketing and generate the leads for resellers and boost business interest in wireless broadband. inTechnology forecasts from 150 to 200 installations within a year.

It has more than 20 resellers for other wireless products and claims a strong hold on the telco market, with customers in Australia and New Zealand.
