Destra streamlines partner program

Julia Talevski  23 November, 2005 11:30:57

Destra has refreshed its channel program to give partners better access to its broad range of hosting, voice and data services.

The Destra Business Partner Program aims to increase training levels and allows the company to include all partners from its acquisitions of Techex Communications, Ozhosting.com and GPM Internet under the same umbrella. Previously, partners needed to complete all three training programs to offer the entire range, Destra business sales and marketing director, Mark Randall said.

"The consequence with the previous program was that partners focused on a specific product area," he said. "We have opened that up now and channel partners automatically have access to the full range of data, hosting and voice services."

Randall said partners that were not specialists in the telecommunications sector could sign up without having to commit to specific targets or running a billing infrastructure. They would be provided with all of the necessary tools and product training seminars were available via Destra's website.

"It is really about enabling a whole range of small, server support-based, systems integrators and ISPs to increase the services they offer to clients and generate long-term recurring revenues," he said.

The tiered program offers three levels: gold, silver and authorised.

Gold and silver partners attract additional benefits such as priority support and lead referrals. Gold members also receive additional discounts based on growth and incremental quarterly rebates.

Destra currently had eight gold and 18 silver resellers, Randall said, and wanted to increase its base of 500 dealers by 20 per cent in the next 12 months. It will launch new DSL, hosting, managed services and search engine optimisation products early next year.
