Packeteer has bolstered its channel resources by funding a sales position within both of its distribution partners, Express Data and LAN Systems. The traffic management vendor has also announced it will add a sales position and technical role to its local headcount.
Recently appointed country manager, Bede Hackney, said the new resources reflected buoyant demand across the government, health, retail and education sectors.
The emergence of VoIP installations on company networks was one of the current market drivers for its optimisation devices, Hackney said.
"Once VoIP has been installed, companies need to ensure their main applications get the correct amount of bandwidth," he said.
